Welcome to Double Consciousness.

Double Consciousness is a medium of the Bust The B.U.B.B.L.E. Movement (Believe and Understand the Butler Bubble Limits Everyone), which was founded–four students , currently attending Butler University: Daniel King, Taylor Leslie, David X and Anthony Murdock II.  The mission of Bust The B.U.B.B.L.E. is to promote the perspectives of students of color at PWIs across the country, starting with black students at Butler, through diversity education, cultural awareness, and action-oriented activism.

This blog serves as a venue in which people of color (POC) who work or study at predominantly white institutions (PWIs) across the world can voice their concerns, articulate their experiences, and express their unique perspectives.

Leave comments. Feel free to start discussions, debates and share knowledge in the comment sections. Every Double Consciousness blogger would be more than willing to respond to readers! Email Founders X, the four founding members of Bust The B.U.B.B.L.E., if you have post to Double Consciousness in the future–we actively encourage and appreciate new perspectives.

This blog has no political affiliation–Double Consciousness doesn’t endorse particular political parties, social ideology, concepts for achieving social liberation–Double Consciousness seek to promote perspectives of all different types of POC living and breathing within PWIs across our global community. The politics of the bloggers are attributed to the blogger, and only the blogger.

So don’t be afraid to shoot Founders X an email with a blog post that you want to be shared, but might be a little different than those currently on this website. Don’t be afraid to leave a comment under one of the posts that could ignite some heated discussion. Don’t let fear hold you back from unleashing the power of your mind through the tips of your fingertips and onto this platform for social change. We invite you to express yourself–all of yourself–on this blog.

Remember to Like, Share, and Enjoy!
